Description
中文：南竿馬祖劍碑位於連江縣南竿鄉馬祖村中正國民中小學側門樓梯旁，石劍是由手握持，更顯出堅毅的精神，石劍上方刻有中華民國的國旗與馬祖二字，是馬祖知名地標，以及軍方文宣最常被選來印製的代表景點。1984年由陸軍馬祖防衛司令部建置完成，後經連江縣政府多次整修。

過去馬祖港是運補轉運港，士兵都由此港上岸，軍方為砥礪軍人不能懈怠了保家衛國的使命，才建立了這座劍碑，提醒來往的軍民。昔日是防區重要的精神堡壘，現今成為醒目的觀光地標。

馬祖之名即得自馬祖村，1955年中國民國國軍成立陸軍馬祖守備區指揮部，正式以「馬祖」命名列島。
