中文：駐緬甸代表處李朝成大使偕僑務組張文華組長及經濟組陳伯彰組長，於7月7日應黃益松校長邀請參訪威爾斯國際學校仰光分校，瞭解緬甸教育發展現況及參觀該校的就學環境。

黃校長簡報時介紹，威爾斯國際學校是由來自台灣的張耀浪董事長兼執行長於1998年在泰國創辦，設美式課程與IB課程，課程涵蓋幼兒園至高中各階段，並具系統化協助高中畢業生申請全球頂尖大學的資源及經驗，目前在曼谷設立4個校區，已有來自28個國家的近1萬2,000名的學生就讀，並於2009年經WASC認證，為泰國國際學校聯盟及東亞國際學校理事會成員，高居泰國國際學校評比第二名。其中，威爾斯仰光分校於2019年經緬甸投資委員會(MIC)正式核准設立，歷經緬甸2020年及2021年疫情與政局不穩的延宕後，已依緬甸教育部令，自2021年11月3日起正式招生營運。黃校長提到，仰光新校區目前面臨的挑戰主要有招生宣傳及團隊融合的工作、因政情致學生源銳減和優質教師招聘問題，以及所衍生的收益衝擊等，然學校不畏挑戰，靈活結合曼谷校區的資源積極擴大招生中，威爾斯更前瞻規劃投入元宇宙的數位世界，不久的將來，該校的師生將可透過虛擬ID，享受數位行政、教學、社群、娛樂等便利與無休的加值服務資源。會後，黃校長並引領李大使等參觀學校各項設施。(該校的詳細資料，請參考http://www.wells.edu.mm/。)
李大使盛讚威爾斯國際學校校舍規劃完善且具美感，教室、活動空間、泳池、體育館、大禮堂與資訊設備等精良新穎，提供了學子智體併進的良好學習與成長環境，實為緬甸當地與外籍學童就學時的優質選項。李大使表示，緬甸近年在疫情及政局的紛擾下，要辦好教育工作的變數與難度增加，然而，基礎教育是建構孩子初步素養與思維模式的重要階段，因此威爾斯國際學校所創造的價值與肩負的責任遠超眼前，正如同代表處參與和推動與緬甸的文化、教育交流，醫療訓練、農漁技術合作，以及扶助弱勢等工作，其人本精神與理念，都將在更深遠的時間及層次逐步展現。緬甸政局已略見回穩，相信威爾斯國際學校仰光分校的優質環境與前瞻規劃，很快就能在緬甸國際學校的頂流中閃耀光芒。
