中文：民國77年（1988）6月7日參謀總長郝柏村，搭乘軍艦來為中柱港啟用剪綵，四星上將的郝柏村擔任參謀總長八年之久（任期 1981年12月1日－1989年12月4日）同年2月份，郝柏村也曾來到東引島，巡視防務，視察東西引連堤工程、民生國宅工程，並至南澳街頭拜訪民眾。他老人家常常出現島上，島上的居民暱稱他為郝伯伯（郝杯杯）。

郝伯伯站在綵帶中央，手持剪刀準備剪綵，後方有陸、海、空三軍部隊觀禮，每個軍人手貼褲縫直挺嚴肅的立正站好，是我印象中軍人的樣子，兩旁各三位拉著彩帶的女自衛隊，穿著迷彩服頭戴小盤禮帽，這身穿束並不是自衛隊的服裝，而是特地為軍政方有特別的日子時，設計添購的公出服裝。右邊第二位是我，照片中的我，花樣年華，不知是閉了眼、還是低眉垂眼，有種是被派公差來參加的不情願。
我們站在面向忠誠門的海邊廣場，背後仍可看到大海及連堤，堤上還停著一輛挖土機，而現在此處已是填海成為海埔新生地了。
