הערות: גימנסיה גאולה נוסדה ב1919 בתל אביב בשם בית הספר התיכוני למסחר במטרה להכשיר פקידים משכילים שיוכלו להשתלב במסחר המתפתח בארץ ישראל ובמנגנון הממשל הבריטי. תכנית בית הספר הייתה תלת שנתית וכללה לימודי תנ"ך, עברית, היסטוריה, מתמטיקה, מדעים והתעמלות, כלכלה, תורת המסחר, חוקה מסחרית, תורת הסחורות, גאוגרפיה כללית ומסחרית, הנהלת חשבונות, כתיבה במכונת כתיבה ושפות: אנגלית, ערבית וצרפתית. בית הספר השתייך לרשת בתי הספר של הוועד הלאומי. ב1950 שונה שם בית הספר לבית ספר תיכון גאולה, או גימנסיה גאולה.
