הערות: הקיבוץ נוסד כאחד מיישובי חומה ומגדל ומצודות אוסישקין ב-4 במאי 1939. המקימים היו קבוצת עולים מטרנסילבניה, רומניה וחברי תנועת השומר הצעיר, שהגיעו לכפר סבא בשנים 1931–1932, והקימו קיבוץ ארעי ב-1933 בגבעת השומר, ליד כפר סבא. ב-1939 נתנו מוסדות היישוב את אישורם לעלייה לקרקע, והקיבוץ נוסד באורח של קבע בקרבת צומת הגבולות ישראל - סוריה - לבנון. הקיבוץ השתייך לתנועה המיישבת "הקיבוץ הארצי". מקור התמונה:פרוייקט שימור לדורות של בית יגאל אלון ואוניברסיטת הרוורד (ויקיפדיה)
