English: Name: Kibbutz Dan - building a sukkah Description: Raising thatch for the construction of a sukkah by parents and children while waiting to get on the land in Kfar Saba in the 1930s עברית: שם: קיבוץ דן - בניית סוכה תיאור: העלאת סכך לבניית סוכה על ידי הורים וילדים בזמן ההמתנה לעלייה על הקרקע בכפר סבא בשנות ה 30 הערות: הקיבוץ נוסד כאחד מיישובי חומה ומגדל ומצודות אוסישקין ב-4 במאי 1939. המקימים היו קבוצת עולים מטרנסילבניה, רומניה וחברי תנועת השומר הצעיר, שהגיעו לכפר סבא בשנים 1931–1932, והקימו קיבוץ ארעי ב-1933 בגבעת השומר, ליד כפר סבא. ב-1939 נתנו מוסדות היישוב את אישורם לעלייה לקרקע, והקיבוץ נוסד באורח של קבע בקרבת צומת הגבולות ישראל - סוריה – לבנון.
