Description: YKA Pika School is the first elementary school established in Petah Tikva. The school was founded with the support of Baron Rothschild in 1885, the school building is one of the oldest buildings in the city and is declared for preservation.

תיאור: בית ספר יק"א פיק"א הוא בית הספר היסודי הראשון שהוקם בפתח תקווה. בית הספר נוסד בתמיכתו של הברון רוטשילד בשנת 1885,בניין בית הספר הוא אחד הבניינים הוותיקים ביותר בעיר והוא מוכרז לשימור.
הערות: המוסד החינוכי, שנקרא בתחילה "בית הספר הברון" על שמו של הברון רוטשילד, הוקם בשנת 1885 בפתח תקווה בעקבות פנייה לברון רוטשילד מצד קברניטי המושבה, שהסבירו וטענו כי "תלמוד התורה" – שהיה מקובל באותה תקופה אינו מספק יותר. בית הספר הוקם בזכות תרומותיו של הברון רוטשילד. כאשר הברון רוטשילד העביר את עסקיו לברון הירש קיבל בית הספר את שם החברה שלו יק"א ולימים פיק"א.בשנת 1909 בתקופת ההנהלה של דוד חיון על בית הספר, דוד חיון הפך את בית הספר ל"בית ספר מעורב" שדגל בגישה ליברלית עם ערכים ציונים-לאומיים.(ויקיפדיה)
