Description: The Deir Suneid train station (Arabic: Deir Suneid, in English: Deir Suneid) is a historical train station for passengers and freight that was established by the Mandatory Railway and was also used by Israel Railways until 1973. After the British army occupied the south of the country.

תיאור: תחנת הרכבת דיר סניד (בערבית: دير سنيد, באנגלית: Deir Suneid) היא תחנת רכבת היסטורית לנוסעים ולמשא שהוקמה על ידי הרכבת המנדטורית ושימשה גם את רכבת ישראל עד שנת 1973. לאחר שהצבא הבריטי כבש את דרום הארץ.
הערות: תחנת הרכבת דיר סניד (בערבית: دير سنيد, באנגלית: Deir Suneid) היא תחנת רכבת היסטורית לנוסעים ולמשא שהוקמה על ידי הרכבת המנדטורית ושימשה גם את רכבת ישראל עד שנת 1973. לאחר שהצבא הבריטי כבש את דרום הארץ, סללו הבריטים מסילת ברזל מקנטרה שעל תעלת סואץ ללוד בשנים 1916-1917. לצורך הקמת המסילה הקימו הבריטים גדודי עבודה שהורכבו מעובדי כפייה מצריים. הבריטים כינו את העובדים בשם "ג'יפוס". תחנת הרכבת המנדטורית בדיר סניד הוקמה דרומית לכפר הערבי דיר סניד ונחנכה ב-1 בנובמבר 1920. התחנה פעלה על קו קנטרה-חיפה.
