Deutsch: Das Musikviertel (Karl-Tauchnitz-Straße bis Einmündung Beethovenstraße) sowie ein Teil der Westvorstadt, inbesondere die Weststraße (heute Friedrich-Ebert-Straße) in ihrem früheren Verlauf - Luftbild von 1909
Deutlich zu sehen ist der grüne doppelreihige Villengürtel entlang der Karl-Tauchnitz-Straße und Wächterstraße bis zur Einmündung der Beethovenstraße. In der unteren linken Ecke ist die Einmündung der Beethovenstraße und somit das Grundstück und die Villa von Stadtrat Carl Robert Gruner (Karl-Tauchnitz-Str. 19) nicht mehr (richtig) zu sehen. Ansonsten kann man aber sehr gut die Anordnung der Villen im Abschnitt von der Beethovenstraße bis (zurück) zur Ferdinand-Rhode-Straße, dessen sämtliche Villen von Architekt Max Pommer errichtet wurden, sehr gut sehen. An der im Bild unteren Einmündung der Ferdinand-Rhode-Straße stehen an der Ecke zur Karl-Tauchnitz-Straße die Villa Hermann Beckmann (Ferdinand-Rhode-Straße 2) daneben an der Ecke zur Wächterstraße die Villa Karl Beckmann des Architektenbüros Karl Weichardt & Bruno Eelbo. Neben dem Eckgrundstück der Ferdinand-Rhode-Straße entlang der Karl-Tauchnitz-Straße zu sehen sind:
Der gesamte hier beschriebene Teil des Villengürtels ist im Krieg zerstört wurden. Im Unterschied dazu sind die beiden Villen im Dreieck Ferdinand-Rhode-Straße / Wächter-Straße / Beethovenstraße beide erhalten und mustergültig renoviert. Oberhalb des beschriebenen Teils des Villengürtels Ferdinand-Rhode-Straße bis Einmündung Beethovenstraße ist Villa Schreiber in der Beethovenstraße 16 zu sehen sowie links daneben, an der Wächterstraße (Hausnummer 15) die Villa des Bankiers Sieskind Sieskind. |
