Description
English: 1868 map. In the 1850's transit arrived in the form of railroads. The trains would generally stop anywhere until stations were built later. About 1870, subdivision and sale of lots, together with the rail lines and the lake, led to the creation of Parkdale and settlement along the lake shore rail line.
