Nederlands: De Brugstraat. Herstelwerkzaamheden aan de spoorwegovergang. Afbuigend van het spoor naar links is de Antoniuslaan met de spoor van de tram naar Maasbree. Rechts naast de Fort St. Michielstraat. In de jaren 20 van de 20e eeuw werd begonnen met de bouw van stuwen in de Maas om de waterstand te reguleren. De brug bij Venlo moest verhoogd worden met zo'n 80 cm. Dat betekende dat ook de wegaansluitingen en treinaansluitingen op de brug omhoog moesten. Te zien is hoe de spoorweg vlak bij de brug wordt verhoogd. Ook de tramaansluiting op de verkeersbrug werd verhoogd (en tevens verlegd vanwege de veranderde stijghoek). |
