Summary edit

Description

The 1932 Ford was available as the 201 cu in 4 cylinder Model B or the 221 cu in Flathead V8 Model 18, built on the same platform, they shared body, chassis and trim. Replacing the Model A, the new Ford not only got the new V8 option, but was on a longer wheelbase, got a lower hoodline and a new chassis, it was a much more comfortable car. The fuel tank was relocated from the cowl as in Model A, to the lower rear of the car, as is typical in modern cars. Again available in Standard or Deluxe, the Deluxe got the cowl lights (although an option on the Standard), chrome window frame and a better interior (woodgrain and dome lights) Standard models were available in; 2 or 4 door sedan, 2 door coupe, 2 door roadster, 2 door cabriolet, 2 door convertible sedan, 4 door phaeton, 4 door wagon and the 2 door pickup. The Deluxe in 2 or 4 door Sedan, 2 door Coupe and Roadster and 4 door Phaeton. Also 2 door Victoria Coupe. The 32 Ford was not only built in the US but also in many countries including Australia. These days, the Roadster and Coupe are the most popular for building street rods making original cars quite rare. Engine; 50hp 201 cu in 4 cyl (Model B) or 65hp 221 cu in V8 (Model 18)
