Description

The Lincoln Motor Company was originally founded in 1917 and since 1922 has been the luxury vehicle division of the American Ford Motor Company. The Lincoln L-Series was the first Lincoln, introduced in 1920, it had a 81hp 356 cu in V8. The much better looking Lincoln K-Series was produced from 1931 to 1940, and just like its Ford cousin went through yearly facelifts. 1932, the V8 KA and the V12 KB, got a new grille with less of a surround, vent doors rather than vertical louvers on the sides of the hood. KAs generally had black fenders and a red radiator badge (blue on KB) 1933 saw the removal of the bar linking the headlights and return of hood louvers For 1934 a body-coloured grille surround and the replacement once again of louvers with doors on the side of the hood In 1934, 25 Lincolns were fitted with custom coachwork by Dietrich, this the only one built in right hand drive for a Head of State in India. These cars featured a 3 position convertible roof and a wind up dividing window at the back of the front seat.
