| Description | This car brought back memories. In August of 1939, when I was 15, I was driving a black version of the same car 70 mph on a flat road north of McCall, Idaho, when a rear tire blew out. When I got the car stopped we were headed the wrong way on the wrong side of the road. Dad and I changed to the spare and we spent several hours getting repairs at a small garage. The car was new and came with Ford tires. |
