Description

Studebaker built wagons in the 1800s, electric automobiles starting in 1902 and gasoline vehicles from 1904 to 1966. In 1953, the Studebaker was redesigned with a more streamlined look. For 1953, there were four Champions; 2 and 4 door sedans, as well as the stunning Starlight coupe and Starliner hardtop. There were three trim levels for the Champion: Regal, Deluxe and Custom, with the Regal being the highest trim level, and Custom the lowest. Also available was the V8 Commander in Deluxe and Regal (2 or 4 door Sedan and Starlight Coupe) and the longer wheelbase Land Cruiser 4 door Sedan The 1954 Champion was very similar , now with extra vertical bars in the grille. For 1954, 1953 models were joined by a two-door station wagon, the Conestoga.
