The Cadillac Automobile Company was founded in 1903. In 1909 Cadillac was acquired by General Motors, GMs premier luxury car. The 1959 Cadillac got those huge tail fins with dual bullet tail lights, the grille had a jewel like pattern, it was longer and lower. Now available in 4 or 6 window 4 door hardtop, the 6 window had small qtr light windows and slim pillars, whereas the 4 window, no qtr lights but the roofline cantilevered out over the rear pillars.
