Description
English: A million thanks to Reginald R. Robinson for sharing this, originally received from Trebor Tichenor.

Bob Darch and Trebor Tichenor conducted this November 1959 Concert/interview in Sedalia, MO. The guest of Honour was Arthur Marshall, a ragtime composer that worked with Scott Joplin in the early days. Clarinet player G. Tom Ireland is present but does not speak. Chauf Williams also steps onto stage to talk, sing, and play. A funny story from Trebor tells about how Bob Darch were sweating bullets due to the subjects that Chauf spoke about, as well as the fact that a revolver handle was visible in his back pocket. One hand was on the curtain rope, ready to shut down the show. The concert recordings do not transition very smooth, there is an abrupt transition to the interview after the concert with Marshall. It ends abruptly. Not the best recording equipment, but no complaints, just observation.

For the first several minutes, Arthur speaks about Sheet music, Scott Joplin, etc to the audience. 08:00 Bob Darch Plays "Swipesy Cake Walk," composed by Joplin and Marshall 13:10 Arthur Marshall plays a little piano even though he struggles due to a stroke. The Trio Section to "Little Jack's Rag," written for his daughter, Mildred Stewart. Little Jack was her nickname.Applause ensues. The entire piece can be heard here, played by Pianist and Composer John Reed Torres https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-thq2-ELRvo 14:00 Chauf steps up to stage and chit chats, nearly burns down the house with his subject matter. 16:20 Chauf plays a lovely song that he would play for the girls in the houses of...you know. 19:10 Chauf plays "Williams Rag" really hot!!! 20:22 Arthur Marshall plays 2 separate pieces.

The remainder of the recording is Arthur talking with Bob Darch and Trebor Tichenor.
