Studebaker built cars from 1903-1966. The compact Studebaker Lark was introduced in 1959. From 1960, the Lark was not only built in the US, but Australia as well In 1963, the wrap around front windscreen was gone, roof pillars were now a lot thinner, also a new grille. In 1963, the base model was just the Lark, it was available in 2 and 4 door Sedan and 4 door Wagon. Next was the Custom, available in 2 door and 4 door Sedan. The Regal was available in 2 and 4 door Sedan and Wagon The Lark Daytona in 2 door Hardtop and Convertible and 4 door Cruiser and Wagoneer (with sliding rear roof section) In 1963, only 11 Daytona Hardtops and 2 Cruisers were made with the Skytop option (fold back fabric roof) Engines; 112hp 170 cu in 6, 180 and 195hp 259 V8, 200, 210, 225hp 289 V8s, Also available in 1963 was the Studebaker Gran Tourismo Hawk 2 door Coupe This Studebaker Lark is an ex Victorian Police Pursuit Vehicle with the 289 cu in V8, 3 speed manual gearbox with police floor conversion |
