Description

The Plymouth was introduced in 1928, Chryslers lowest priced car. Up to 1960, Plymouths were all one size. In 1960 a new compact car, the A body Valiant was introduced and in 1964, the A body Barracuda Fastback.

In 1965, the Fury was enlarged to become the C body full size car, the Belvedere and Satellite became the B body intermediate size, the luxury GTX version introduced in 1967.

The 1964-66 first generation Barracudas shared the front clip with the Valiant, the rear fastback styling unique to the Barracuda. This 1967-69 second generation Cuda, still shared many components with the Valiant, but looked quite different. The Barracuda was now available in Convertible, Fastback and Notchback. The extra sporty Formula S still available. In 1968, a slight facelift; round sidemarkers introduced and the 273 V8 updated with the 318, the 340 V8 introduced as well Another minor facelift in 1969: sidemarkers, now rectangular. 440 V8 added Also in 1967, the A body Valiant was available in V100 and Signet 2 and 4 door Sedans and the VIP 2 door Hardtop.
