Deutsch: 13.11.1971 DDR 7291 [04860] Graditz (Torgau), Dorfstraße 54-56: Gestüt Graditz. Schloß (GMP: 51.545364,13.060136). 1680 gründete Kurfürst Johann Georg III. von Sachsen (1647-1691) in Graditz, das
schon seit 1630 als "Stutterey-Vorwerk" gedient hatte, ein Hauptgestüt. August der Starke (1670-1733), Kurfürst von Sachsen und König von Polen, beauftragte im März 1722 den Landbaumeister Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann (1662-1736), in Graditz ein neues Hauptgebäude zu errichten, heute als Schloß bezeichnet. Der älteste Teil ist der sieben Fensterachsen breite Mitteltrakt, der 1725/26 nach Plänen von Pöppelmann errichtet wurde. 1775 nahm Oberlandbaumeister Christian Friedrich Exner (1718-1798) einen Umbau vor. Dabei wurden die eingeschossigen Flügelbauten, die gegenüber dem MitteIteil leicht zurücktreten, aufgestockt und ebenfalls mit Mansardwalmdächern versehen. Die Gestüte um Torgau fielen 1815 an Preußen. Die Pferdezucht kam 1945 zum Erliegen, da die Zuchtpferde in die Sowjetunion abtransportiert wurden. 1949 begann man wieder mit der Zucht englischer Vollblüter und Trakehner.
