Description

Harvest Gold. The CL Valiant was built in Australia from Nov 1976-Nov 1978. The CL got a restyled front and rear including now quad headlights outside a central grille. The base model Ranger name was dropped, the base model now called just Valiant. The long wheelbase Chrysler by Chrysler Sedan and Coupe were discontinued, replaced by the top spec standard wheelbase Regal SE, a Panel Van was also introduced. Models available were; Valiant; Sedan or Wagon, Standard 245 Hemi 6 cyl Regal; Sedan or Wagon, distinctive grille, bonnet ornament, front fender repeater lights, remote control external mirror, plusher interior, Standard 245, (265 and 318 V8 option) Regal SE; Sedan 318 V8, auto, power steering, air-conditioning, vinyl roof and a higher equipment level than any other Valiant. The CL was the last Charger, most were 770s, a few XL spec Chargers were used by the Police Force. The Valiant Utility was still available, and now Panel Van as well. The 'Drifter' pack was an option on the Charger, Van and Utility

Engines; 165hp 245 or 203hp 265 Hemi 6s and 230hp 318 V8.
