English: A 1983 Yamaha XJ650L Turbo with 0.5 miles on the odometer, seen at the 2023 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. 90 horsepower and 255kg, carburetted turbo which did not light the market on the fire. No quicker than a 750, weighed as much as an 1100, with the additional problem of significant turbo lag. About 6,500 were built in 1982 and 1,500 more for the second and final year it was available. |
