| Description |
The Celica was a sports coupe built by Toyota from 1971-2006. The A60 was the third generation Celica, built from 1981-85. The car was initially available in notchback coupe and liftback forms. The Celica was facelifted in 1984. The revision included fully retractable headlights, restyled grille, and airdam. In Australia, Toyota decided initially to use the 1972cc 21R-C in the Celica. As a result, the car only turned out a mere 67 kw. However, for the facelift model it was replaced by the far quicker 73 kW 1995cc 2S-C motor and then by the injected 2366cc 22R-E which provided 87 kW. The facelift versions also came with independent rear suspension, rather than the traditional live axle differential. |
