Description
Deutsch: 02.11.1989 Bautzen: Neue Wasserkunst (GMP: 51.177507,14.422644). Das vorhandene, 1721 neu errichtete Bauwerk befindet sich im Süden der Altstadt am Aufgang aus dem Spreetal zum Neutor an der Lauenstraße. Schon 1610 war ein Vorgängerbau eingeweiht worden. Im Unterbau der Neuen Wasserkunst befindet sich das Neutor, das ehemals ein Teil des Äußeren Lauentores war. 1893 wurde die Neue Wasserkunst stillgelegt. Von 1999-2000 wurde sie umfassend saniert.
