Description
Deutsch: 23.06.2004 17389 Anklam: Marienkirche. Marienkirchplatz (GMP: 53.855926,13.684649). Gotische Backstein-Hallenkirche, 1296 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt, heutiger Bau überweigend aus der 2. Hälfte des 14. Jahrhunderts. Heutiger Altar. Viele Teile der wertvollen Ausstattung von St. Marien wurden während des Zweiten Weltkrieges in das Gut Schwerinsburg ausgelagert. Als dieses 1945 ausbrannte, gingen die Kunstgegenstände zum großen Teil verloren. Vom Hauptaltar blieb nur die große Marienfigur aus dem späten 15. Jahrhundert erhalten, die heute in der nordwestlichen Marienkapelle steht. [DSCN3987.TIF]20040623110.JPG(c)Blobelt
