Description
Deutsch: 29.09.2004 98617 Herpf (Meiningen), Kirchgasse: Evangelische Dorfkirche St. Johannis (GMP: 50.577330,10.331107). Heutige Kirche 1611-1620 in Renaissanceformen mit hölzernem Tonnengewölbe. Durch die hölzernen Rundsäulen der zweigeschossigen Emporen ist der ganze Innenraum der Kirche gleichsam in drei Schiffe eingeteilt. Die Schnitzereien der Emporen gehören zu den besten der Gegend. Sie stammen sicher aus der Hauptbauzeit, um 1611 -1620. Die Bemalung der 1. Empore erfolgte dann um 1772/73 durch Johann Peter Herrlein Saal a. d. Saale. [DSCN5318.JPG]20040929590DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
