Description
Deutsch: 02.04.2005 04668 Pomßen (Parthenstein): Schloß (GMP: 51.236935,12.614211). Die Geschichte des Ritterguts Pomßen ist eng mit der Familie von Ponickau verbunden. 1536 erwarb der kursächsische Rat Hans von Ponickau (1508-1573) den Rittersitz. Das Schloß geht auf einen Renaissancebau zurück, den Hans von Ponickau um 1545 anlegen ließ. Da die Bausubstanz des 16. Jahrhunderts später überformt wurde, erinnert heute nur wenig an die Renaissancegestalt. Der Turm wurde 1726 nach einem Blitzschlag erneuert und um ein Geschoß erhöht. Nach Besitzerwechsel nahm Johann Gottfried Dietze 1848/49 einen grundlegenden Umbau nach dem Muster englischer Landsitze im Tudorstil vor. Der letzte Herr auf Pomßen war Fürst Günther von Schönburg-WaIdenburg (1887-1960). Nach der Enteignung des Fürstenhauses wurde das Schloss von 1948 bis 1992 als Kindergenesungsheim genutzt. 1995 kaufte ein Investor aus Südtirol die Schloßanlage. Er plante die Einrichtung eines Hotels, ließ die äußere Hülle sanieren, scheiterte dann aber an der Finanzierung. Sicht von Nordosten. [DSCN6209.TIF]20050402082DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
