Description
Deutsch: 02.04.2005 04668 Otterwisch, Schloß 1 (GMP: 51.204578,12.610211): Schloß. Das Rittergut Otterwisch ist aus einer Wasserburg hervorgegangen. Das barocke Schloß wurde 1728 bis 1730 für Rahel Charlotte Gräfin Vitzthum von Eckstädt errichtet. Der Entwurf wird dem Landbaumeister David Schatz zugeschrieben, der eine Dreiflügelanlage mit einem hohen Mansardwalmdach errichtete. Frederic Baron Shears, genannt de Lagotellerie ließ das Schloß nach 1870 neu ausgestalten. Der Haupteingang wurde vom Ehrenhof an die Nordseite des Nordflügels verlegt und der Eckraum der Gartenseite mit einer Veranda versehen. Der letzte Besitzer, Curt von Arnim, wurde 1945 enteignet. In der DDR waren im Schloß Wohnungen, Turnhalle, Kino, Kindergarten, Polizeistation und Arztpraxen. 2004 verkaufte die Gemeinde Otterwisch das Schloß. Sicht vom Torhaus.
