Description
Deutsch: 26.08.2005 I 39035 Welsberg-Taisten / Monguelfo (Italien, Südtirol): Pfarrkirche St. Margareth (GMP: 46.757013,12.104332). Barockbau, 1736-38. Die drei Altarbilder im dreiseitigen Chorabschluss schuf der Welsberger Künstler Paul Troger. Das Ölgemälde am Hauptaltar stellt die hl. Margareth mit den heiligen Georg, Ulrich, Peter und Paul dar. Troger wird aus der Schar der Heiligen wohl deshalb den Georg und Ulrich gewählt haben, weil Georg von Welsperg und Ulrich von Liechtenstein die ersten Wohltäter 1469 der Kirche gewesen waren, indem sie ein Benefizium stifteten und einen Benefizianten nach Zell unter Welfsperg (so hieß der Ort damals) brachten. Am linken Seitenaltar verteilt der hl. Johannes von Nepomuk Almosen an die Armen. Am rechten Seitenaltar sieht man die Anbetung der Könige, eine wirkungsvolle, farblich gut gelungene Komposition unseres Künstlers. Im Jahre 1908 besorgte Meister Joh.
