Description
Deutsch: 08.11.2006 01326 Dresden-Wachwitz: Kapelle (GMP: 51.044454,13.829136) im "Königlichen Weinberg" auf dem Wachwitzer Steinberg am Panoramaweg. Die weitläufige Anlage um den Sommersitz der sächsischen Könige ist 271194 m² groß. Außer dem Schloß Wachwitz und der Königlichen Villa gehört neben weiteren Objekten diese Kapelle dazu. Sie wurde 1840 im neugotischen Stil errichtet und Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts so verändert, wie Sie heute zu sehen ist. Seit mehr als 800 Jahren wird an den Elbhängen Wein angebaut. Zwischen 1824 und 1854 wurden durch Prinz Friedrich August II. mehrere Weinparzellen in dieser Region aufgekauft. Seit ungefähr 1926 nennt man diese Parzellen, die damals noch "Königs Weinberg" hießen, Königlicher Weinberg. Eine Reblausplage um 1890 brachten den Weinbau fast zum Erliegen. 1987 begannen mutige Freizeitwinzer, sich auf alte Weinbautraditionen zu berufen und rebten die Flächen wieder auf.
