simultane Garnisonkirche (GMP: 51.074545,13.759698) ist die heutige Pfarrkirche St. Martin der Pfarrei St. Franziskus Xaverius in Dresden-Neustadt. Von 1895-1900 erfolgte der Bau nach Plänen der Architekten William Lossow (1852-1914) und Hermann Viehweger (1847-1922) im neoromanisch-neogtischem Stil. Die Kirche wurde zu Ehren des hl. Soldaten und späteren Bischofs Martin von Tours (316/317-397) geweiht. Die Simultankirche teilt sich baulich in einen evangelisch und eine römisch-katholisch genutzen Bereich. Bis 1945 dienten beide Teile der Militärseelsorge. Heute wird nur noch der östliche, der katholische Teil, sakral genutzt. 1971 begann die Renovierung und Neugestaltung des Inneraumes unter Leitung des Architekten Lothar Goschor. Die Malerein der Gewölbe stammen von Paul Mohn 1842-1911). Der Hochaltar (heute Sakramentsaltar) ist aus Sandstein in der Art eines Lettners gearbeitet. Das Glasmosaik stellt Christus als Weltenherrscher dar (Paul Mohn und Max Seeliger). Die Bildhauerarbeiten am Hochaltar wurden von Otto Panzer ausgeführt. Die Buntglasfenster wurden nach Skizzen der Architekten Josef Goller (1868-1947) und Bruno Urban 1851-1910)
