Description
Deutsch: 12.04.2007 01809 Dohna, Am Markt: Stadtkiche St. Marien (GMP: 50.954534,13.856519). Die erste Kirche am Ort entstand zwischen 1212 und 1250 und ist nicht mehr vorhanden. Der heutige Bau stammt größtenteils aus dem Jahre 1489. Die Kirche ist dreischiffig mit gotischem Gewölbe. In den Jahren 1833-1843 wurde sie nach Angaben von Joseph Türmer (Vergrößerung der Langhausfenster) und Gottfried Semper (Sanierung des Chores, Einbau der hölzernen Emporen) durchgängig erneuert. Im Westen wurde das Kirchenschiff ca. 6 m verlängert. Chor und Schiff liegen nicht genau in einer Achse. Marienaltar aus dem Jahre 1518, gotische Schnitzaltar mit Anklängen der Renaissance. Vermutlich Werkstatt Gregor Hörczels aus Pirna, andere Quelle vermuten Freiberger Werkstatt. Hölzerne Kanzel, 17. Jahrhundert. [DSCN21910.TIF]20070412055DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
