Deutsch: 26.04.2008 01097 Dresden-Neustadt, Oberer Kreuzweg 8 (GMP: 51.061611,13.749721): Die Villa Thormeyer ist eines der bedeutendsten Gebäude des Klassizismus in der Dresdner Neustadt, entstanden 1826. Zur Enstehungszeit befand sich das Grundstück vor dem Schwarzen Tor der Stadt. Hier gab es früher Festungswerke, die zur Zeit der Befreiungskriege abgetragen wurden. Für 325 Taler erwarb der Musikinstrumentenbauer Ernst Philipp Rosenkranz das Grundstück. Architekt der Villa ist Gottlob Friedrich Thormeyer (1757-1842). Erstmals verkauft wurde das Grundstück 1836, und zwar an den Architekten Schuricht. Mehrfache Veränderungen sind an dem Haus im Laufe der Zeit vorgenommen worden. Um 1852 wurde das Treppenhaus verlegt und die Dachform des Gebäudes verändert. 2005 begann im Auftrag der Unternehmensgruppe Holzapfel die Sanierung, die bis November 2006 dauerte. Architekt und Projektleiter der Sanierung war Harro Tippmann. Ein Aufzug wurde eingebaut. Nutzer Anfang 2007:
