Deutsch: 26.10.2008 01157 Dresden-Kemnitz, Merbitzer Straße 53a (vorn) und 53 (hinten): Die Weltemühle / Hotel Pattis (GMP: 51.068937,13.659656). Die Weltemühle in Kemnitz wurde 1566 von Benno Fehrmann als Mahlmühle errichtet, jedoch bald wieder abgerissen. 1608 erhielt der Kemnitzer Dorfrichter Nikolaus Fehrmann von Kurfürst Christian II. die Erlaubnis zum Bau einer "Mühle an der Zschornbach bei Kemnitz". Später gelangte die Mühle in den Besitz der namensgebenden Bauernfamilie Welte. 1899 kaufte der Gastwirt Birnbaum aus Briesnitz die Weltemühle und erweiterte sie zum Ausflugsrestaurant mit Gästegarten. 1920 erfuhr die Mühle nochmals einen Aufschwung. Sie verfügte über 1200 Garten- und 600 Saalplätze, einer Parkanlage mit Teich, den "Lunapark". 1940 befand sich hier eine Luftschutzschule. Bis 1948 war sie Gaststätte. Danach war die Anlage im Besitz des VEB Dresdner Plast- und Kunstlederwaren. Mit Aufgabe der gewerblichen Nutzung setzte der schrittweise bauliche Verfall ein. Nach 1990 wurden Teile der Gebäudesubstanz abgerissen. Bis 1997 erfolgte die Rekonstruktion der erhaltenen Restgebäude sowie deren Umbau zum Hotel und Restaurant. Seit 2012 wird das Objekt von der Hotel-Gruppe Grand City Hotels als "Hotel Villa Weltemühle Dresden" geführt. Ansicht Straßenseite.
