Description BioProcess Algae Field Engineer Thiruvenkadam Viswanathan at the BioProcess Algae facility of the Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE), Inc. (GPRE) checks a control and monitor system on Friday, Apil 15, 2011. This operation is co-located within GPRE’s ethanol factory where BioProcess Algae technology is used to treat waste products, carbon dioxide, recycled heat and water to mass-produce algae. Algae from this facility are used for animal feeds, pharmaceutical and beauty products. USDA photo by Lance Cheung.
