Deutsch: 28.04.2011 09661 Hainichen, Heinrich-Heine-Straße / Ecke Schulstraße (GMP: 50.969977,13.120657): Stadtkirche Hainichen. Mit 1214 Sitzplätzen und einem 72 Meter hohen
Hauptturm ist die am 28.05.1899 geweihte Trinitatiskirche das größte Gotteshaus im Kirchenbezirk. Die Baupläne zeichnete der Kirchenarchitekt Gotthilf Ludwig Möckel. Er legte einen stützenfreien Zentralraum an, der sich über dem Grundriss eines griechischen Kreuzes mit gleichlangen Armen erhebt. Trotz der gewaltigen Spannweite ist die gesamte Kirche überwölbt. Von besonderem Wert sind die Bleiglasfenster, die Fritz Geiges (1853-1935) aus Freiburg im Breisgau im hochgotischen Stil gestalte. Die Chorfenster zeigen dieGeburt Christi sowie die Apostel Petrus und Paulus. Das lebensgroße Kruzifix über dem Altartisch, datiert 1659, stammt aus der 1906 abgebrochenen alten Kirche.
