Deutsch: 14.04.2012 01662 Meißen, Freiheit 16: St. Afra-Kirche (GMP: 51.164336,13.468170). Die erste Kirche wurde 1064 fertig und der heiligen Afra geweiht. 1205 gründete der Meißner Bischof neben der Kirche ein Augustiner-Chorherrenstift. Um 1240 wurde die Kirche als Basilika neu errichtet und im 15. Jahrhundert spätgotisch eingewölbt. 1540 wurde das Augustiner-Chorherrenstift im Zuge der Reformation aufgelöst und 1543 in seinen Räumen die Landesschule eingerichtet. Um 1380/90 erfolgte die Einwölbung des Chores. Martinsaltar von 1503 als Nebenaltar an der Orgelwand. Er stammt ursprünglich aus der St.-Martins-Kirche Weinböhla.
