Description
Deutsch: 09.06.2012 02627 Gröditz (Weißenberg Sa.), Am Schloß 12: Schloß (GMP: 51.206188,14.625012). Gröditz kam im 17. Jahrhundert in den Besitz des Adelsgeschlechts von Gersdorff. Der Bau des Schlosses wird Hans Caspar II. von Gersdorff zugeschrieben, der 1721 mit Gröditz belehnt wurde. Einer Bauinschrift zufolge wurde es 1738 erbaut. Dabei hat man vermutlich ältere Bauteile einbezogen. Am 2. November 1922 kam zu einem Brand, bei dem ein Großteil des Adelssitzes abbrannte. Bis 1927 erfolgte der Wiederaufbau. Das Rittergut fiel 1945 unter die Bodenreform. In der DDR-Zeit diente der Adelssitz bis 1967 als Tuberkuloseheim und war dann AußensteIle des Fachkrankenhauses Großschweidnitz. Zuletzt befand sich hier ein Wohnheim für psychisch Kranke. Das Heim wurde im Oktober 2007 geschlossen. Der in der Schweiz lebende Beat von Zenker zu Pommritz hat den Adelssitz vom Freistaat Sachsen gekauft. Er ist der Großneffe der letzten Besitzerin Clara von Krauß, die 1945 enteignet wurde.
