Description
Deutsch: An der Stelle der ehemaligen Neuen Synagoge in Hannover, die durch die Nationalsozialisten zerstört wurde (in der Nacht vom 9. auf den 10. November 1938, der sogenannten Reichspogromnacht), wurde am 15. September 2013 eine ausführlichere Informationstafel enthüllt. Die Enthüllung wurde von den beiden Holocaust-Überlebenden Ruth Gröne und Henry Korman vorgenommen, außerdem von der Präsidentin des Landeskirchenamts Hannover, Stephanie Springer, sowie Hannovers Kultur- und Schuldezernentin Marlis Drevermann im Beisein zahlreicher Gäste aus Politik, Kultur und Vertretern verschiedener Glaubensrichtungen. Für die Vorbereitungen zeichnete nicht nur das Netzwerk Erinnerung und Zukunft verantwortlich; auch SchülerInnen der Heisterbergschule aus Ahlem hatten die Veranstaltung mitgestaltet. Die Gedenktafel in der Straße Rote Reihe der Calenberger Neustadt dokumentiert seitdem in Wort und Bild die Geschichte der Neuen Synagoge an ihrem ehemaligen Standort ...
