Description VIENNA, 26 May 2014 - The DG met with Danilo TÜRK, former President of Slovenia, who expressed his appreciation of UNIDO’s cooperation with his country and his strong support to ISID. The DG thanked him and the Government of Slovenia for their support to UNIDO’s operations. The DG informed on the new approaches in operationalizing ISID, including the planned partnerships forums and also mentioned the vital role that the private sector plays in economic development process, thus the importance of UNIDO’s strategy in building and strengthening those partnerships with the private sector. Both appreciated the good cooperation with the European Union.
