Description
English: Seventeenth century canal lock and lockmasters house in Hindeloopen, a city in the Dutch province of Fryslân.
Frysk: It Sylhús njonken de slûs fan Hylpen. De slûs en de slûsmasterswente datearre út de santjinde, de brêge út de achttjinde en de klokketoer út de njoggentjinde ieu. Sawol de slûs en de brêge as de wente binne oanwezen as ryksmonumint (resp. rm 18209 en 22191). Efter de wente in part fan de stedspleats Nieuwstad 49, ek in ryksmonumint (rm 22183).
Nederlands: Schutsluis met bijbehorende sluiswachterswoning (het Sylhús) in Hindeloopen, een van de Friese elf steden. De sluis en de woning dateren uit de zeventiende, de houten ophaalbrug uit de achttiende en de klokkentoren uit de negentiende eeuw. Zowel de sluis en de brug als de woning zijn aangewezen als rijksmonument (resp. rm 18209 en 22191). Achter de woning een deel van de stadsboerderij Nieuwstad 49, eveneens een rijksmonument (rm 22183).
