Deutsch: 22.11.2014 01217 Dresden: Blick von Süden zum Leibnitz-Institut für ökologische Raumentwicklung e.V. (IÖR), Weberplatz 1 (GMP: 51.031141,13.748336) links im Bild. In der DDR-Zeit leitete hier Dr. Günter Scherf eine Außenstelle der Baukademie der DDR mit dem Institut für Industriebau (IFI). Ab dem 01.07.1988 wurde daraus das neu gegründete Institut für Betonforschung (IBF) unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Claus-Dieter Helff. Die Bauakademie der DDR wurde in der Wendezeit überwiegend abgewickelt. Ein Teilbereich überlebte aber und mutierte hier zum Institut für Ökologie, Raumordnung und Städtebau, die ersten Jahre geleitet von Prof. Dr. Hans Petzold. Daraus wurde später das heutige Leibnitz-Institut für ökologische Raumentwicklung, geleitet von Marc Wolfram. Rechts daneben das Gelände, auf dem die Bauakademie der DDR vor der Wende das Experimentalgebäude (GMP: 51.031134,13.749323) für den weiterentwickelten Wohnungsbau, das WBS 2000, geplant hatte. Im Frühsommer 1989 wurde mit dem Bau begonnen, der jedoch durch die politische Wende im Herbst 1989 nicht weitergeführt wurde. Der Versuchsbau kam nicht über die Gründung hinaus.
