Description
Deutsch: 10.06.2015 09618 Langenau (Brand-Erbisdorf) Kirchberg: Kirche Langenau (GMP: 50.837329,13.295281). Das genaue Erbauungsjahr ist nicht mehr feststellbar. Eine Pfarrkirche soll es bereits im Jahr 1162 gegeben haben. Bemerkenswert ist das hier eingebaute Renaissance-Sitznischenportal vom nach 1945 gesprengten Herrenhaus Niederlangenau. Das Sitznischenportal, das um 1560 geschaffen wurde und ein hervorragendes Beispiel für die Bildhauerkunst der Renaissance darstellt, blieb erhalten. Es wurde geborgen und 1953 in die Dorfkirche umgesetzt. Die Sitznischen sind von einem bärtigen Mann in Rüstung und von einer Frauengestalt bekrönt. Gemeint sind der adlige Gutsbesitzer, ein Rülcke und seine Ehefrau. In das reiche Schmuckwerk sind Symbole eingelassen, die auf Vergänglichkeit und Tod hinweisen, darunter Totenschädel und Sanduhr.
