Description

Deutsch: 09.05.2016 01920 Ralbitz (Ralbitz-Rosenthal): Denkmalgeschützter Friedhof (GMP: 51.302484,14.246382) der Katharinenkirche mit seinen mehr als 300 einheitlichen weißen Holzkreuzen. Alle sind weiß, alle sind aus Holz, alle haben einen vergoldeten Korpus. Und auch die Größe der Gräber ist gleich. Familiengräber findet man in Ralbitz nicht. Einzig die Aufschrift auf den ovalen Tafeln - in sorbischer oder deutscher Sprache - ist unterschied-lich. Schon seit DDR-Zeiten (1960er Jahre) wird auf dem Ralbitzer Friedhof der Reihe nach beerdigt, so, wie die Menschen sterben. Alle sind gleich. Niemand kann seinen Platz vorher wählen oder kaufen. Die eigenartige Form der Kreuze hat aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach der Ralbitzer Tischler Peter Bräuer um das Jahr 1848 eingeführt.
