Description
English: 10.09.2020 01936 Neukirch (bei Königsbrück), Platz der Jugend 1: Ehemaliges Rittergut. Sonnenuhr, ein Werk von Burkhardt Proschmann, am Giebel seines Wirtschaftsgebäudes (GMP: 51.291712,13.978333). Es wird vermutet, daß das Herrenhaus auf dem Ursprung einer alten Wasserburg errichtet worden ist, die aus den Zeiten der deutschen Landnahme stammen könnte. Erst im 14. Jahrhundert hört man dann auch von einem Herrensitz. 1655 kaufte Hans Friedrich von Knoch neben Reichenbach auch das Gut Neukirch. Als im 18. Jahrhundert die Grafen Hohenthal den Grundbesitz erwarben und der Standesherrschaft Königsbrück angliederten, wurde das Rittergut Neukirch zum Vorwerk zu rückgestuft. Nach dem II. Weltkrieg schuf man auf den Gutsflächen Neubauernstellen. Burkhardt Proschmann, der das ehemalige Gutshaus erworben hat und heute auf dem Gelände einen Autohandel mit Werkstatt betreibt, hat das vorgefundene Bauwerk saniert und umgebaut.
