Description
Nederlands: HEEZE - Afgelopen zondag 26 augustus wisten 40.000 bezoekers de Brabantsedag in Heeze te vinden waar ook een themawagen over Babyloniënbroek te bewonderen viel. In totaal reden er 16 themawagens mee.

Bij het thema hoort een lijst van alle 296 vroegere en huidige plaatsen in het Noord-Brabantse, van Aalst tot Zundert, en dus ‘Van Ravenstein tot Roosendaal’. Uit die lijst koos één van de wagenbouwersgroepen Babyloniënbroek om te verbeelden tijdens de parade. Bouwerij Skôn wist met het thema "Land van misverstand" de tweede prijs in de wacht te slepen tijdens de theaterparade.

Het thema van deze wagen verwijst naar het verleden van 'Broek' waarbij monniken een spreekwoordelijke 'Babylonische bende' aantroffen toen zij in de 8e eeuw het Christendom kwamen verspreiden. De dorpelingen volgen hun eigen gebruiken, nieuwsgierig doen zij hun best om die vreemde woorden van de nieuwkomers te begrijpen.
