3200 KINDEREN VERTREKKEN NAAR HOEK VAN HOLLAND; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 33 uit 1939.; Uitstapje van 3200 Rotterdamse stadskinderen naar het strand van Hoek van Holland, georganiseerd door de RVS (Rotterdamsche Vacantie School). SHOTS: - trein stopt op station Hoek van Holland, waarna kinderen, begeleid door enkele volwassenen, uit trein stappen; - aankomst kinderen op strand in lange stoet; - kinderen in speeltuin (schommels, glijbaan wippen en hobbelpaarden); - spelende kinderen op strand en in het water; - vrouwen smeren van grote hoeveelheid boterhammen terwijl machine brood snijdt; - man luidt bel, terwijl kinderen aan komen lopen en plaats aan een der tafels zoeken; - drinkende en etende kinderen. Aantekening : Volgens de commentaartekst in de beschrijvingsmap van het Rotterdams Gemeentearchief wordt de dag georganiseerd door "Het Rotterdamse Vakantie Kinderfeest".
