Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_88506_3.jpeg Notes: שוק תלפיות היה שוק בבניין גדול בשכונת הדר הכרמל בחיפה שנחנך באפריל 1940. מטרת הקמתו הייתה להחליף את השווקים שפעלו בעיר התחתית. התוצרת החקלאית הגיעה ממשקים בעמק יזרעאל, הגליל והשומרון. בתחילת 1948 הקים הצבא הבריטי עמדה צבאית במרפסת המשקיפה על העיר התחתית. החיילים גם השתמשו בחדרים במבנה. במלחמת העצמאות שימש הגג כנקודת תצפית של כוחות ההגנה היהודיים.מ1951 סבלו סוחרי השוק גם מפעילות עבריינים שגנבו סחורות. החל משנות ה-90 של המאה ה-20 החלה ירידה בפעילות השוק. רוב המבנה עזוב והוכרז כמבנה לשימור.
