הערות: הכנסייה נבנתה לזכרו של ג'ורג' הקדוש הורג הדרקון. הקרקע עליה נבנתה הכנסייה שייכת לפטריארכיה היוונית האורתודוכסית והיא הועברה לרשות העמותה האורתודוכסית לצדקה שהקמה בשנת 1879 שבנתה את הכנסייה.עמותה זו קיימת עד היום ,ובין היתר אחראית לתפעול ואחזקת הכנסייה.הקהילה היוונית אורתודוקסית(קהילה ערבית אורתודוקסית) היא הקהילה הגדולה ביפו ומונה כ 4000 איש.מבנה האדריכלות של הכנסייה שונה מהמבנה הקלאסי של הכנסיות היווניות אורתדוקסיות.
