Description: Beit Saraya is a building in the Clock Square in Jaffa. The Saraya building was built in 1896 as the home of the new Turkish government outside the city walls of Jaffa

תיאור: בית הסראיה הוא מבנה בכיכר השעון שביפו. מבנה הסראיה נבנה בשנת 1896 כבית השלטון התורכי החדש מחוץ לחומת העיר יפו
הערות: הבניין הוקם בתרומות עשירי העיר, בימי המנדט המשיך הבניין לשמש כמרכז מנהלי של עריית יפו, הבניין שימש את העירייה עד שעברה אל הבניין בשדרות ירושלים 45. במקביל שימש הבניין גם כמטה פעילות של ערביי יפו. לקראת מלחמת העצמאות התמקמה בבניין הוועדה הלאומית הערבית של יפו ששימשה כמפקדת הכוחות הערביים בעיר. בשנת 1947 מבנה הסראייה פוצץ ע"י הלח"י, לאחר הפיצוץ שרד רק חלק מהחזית המקורית של הבניין. ועם השנים מצבו של המתחם הדרדר והוחלט לשקם את החזית הראשית בלבד וליצור גן.
